This exercise came as both shocking and reassuring-
- I spend waaaay too much on food. It’s ridiculous.
- I need to be earning about £8 an hour to maintain this lifestyle, which is comfortable most of the time (but defo a bit more if i wanna go on holiday)
- That’s about minimum wage. Which is reassuring.
- However, jobs probably won’t be that regular, especially to begin with.
- BUT I can work another part time job to keep things steady, at first
- I’m a fast worker, so can make work to deadlines- this is positive, as i can have a fast turnaround, but also i’ll be charging for fewer hours work.
- But I don’t want to undervalue my work- they aren’t just paying for my hours, they’re paying for my years in school and uni training too.
- It’sa bit ridiculous to judge right now what i’d be charging-it depends what job i go into, the size of the work, the climate, economy, cost of living, brexshit, my Tesco Express addiction, SO many factors.
- But it’s reassuring that i’m not as high maintenance as i though i was, and can budget and afford to live comfortably off what i have.
